About the Ist KALRO Scientific Conference and Exhibition

Theme: “Transformative agricultural technologies, innovations and management practices for food and nutrition security, income and climate resilience”

Objectives

  1. To provide a forum for sharing transformative agricultural research products and services.
  1. To share innovative approaches and strategies for technology transfer and uptake.
  1. To enhance partnerships and strengthen linkages among stakeholders.
  1. To exhibit technologies, products and services of KALRO, partners and stakeholders.

Submission of Papers
Those planning to present papers should submit full papers by 13th February 2023. The papers will be subjected to pre-screening and peer review. Final versions of accepted papers should be submitted by 28th February 2023 and should include:

  1. Title and name(s), institutional affiliation(s) and complete mailing address(es) including e-mail of the author(s) with an indication of which author is responsible for correspondence.
  2. Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Recommendations, Acknowledgement and References.

Presentation of Papers
Papers will be presented in person at KALRO Headquarters or virtually (insert link). Those presenting virtual papers will be requested to share a pre-recorded presentation as a back-up. More detailed instructions to follow. For more information click here.

Publication of Papers
Papers presented at the conference will be published in a volume tentatively titled “Proceedings of the 1st KALRO Scientific Conference” and select papers published in a special issue of The East African Agriculture and Forestry Journal (EAAFJ).
